Itinerary

This provider implements additional measures and goes beyond both our minimum requirements and the applicable national regulations.

To highlight and promote this commitment, we use a simple recognition system on our platform. Partners who exceed our requirements in at least three areas are identified by this symbol. You can find more information here.

This provider places great importance on the well-being of their sled dogs and takes into account the individual needs of dogs of different ages. Older dogs are included according to their physical abilities and only participate in shorter tours, while they are given the opportunity to retire from longer multi-day wilderness expeditions.

A special highlight is the two fixed rest days per week, which provide the dogs with sufficient time for recovery and regeneration. During warmer days, the dogs also have access to a lake where they can cool off after training sessions or tours.

The training and development of young dogs is also approached with great care. Young dogs spend almost an entire season running in the team of the guide, allowing them to gradually gain experience and learn their future role without pressure. In addition, all dogs receive a chew treat once a week, providing enrichment and supporting dental health.

  • "Great team, delicious food, and an incredible adventure!

Carmen and Birgit take wonderful care of both the huskies and their guests. We stayed as a group of four in two wilderness cabins and can highly recommend Huskykompaniet!" translated from german

  • "We spent a total of five days at Huskykompaniet, and it was an absolute highlight! After an initial introduction, we went straight on a wilderness tour with an overnight stay in a forest camp on our second day.

What makes this experience so special is that we were able to actively help and be involved throughout the trip. We were responsible for our own dog team and became part of the daily routines with the huskies.

The cabins used for the overnight stay are modern, comfortable, and always clean and well maintained. Everyone at the farm was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home.

A special thank you goes to our guide Carmen! She created amazing experiences for us and took excellent care of the group throughout the adventure.

The entire team around Birgit and Bruno has built something truly special and personal with their husky farm. Highly recommended!" translated from german
