Escape into nature and uncover the fascinating stories of our area. Whether you're seeking an enriching hike or looking for a route to explore the unique landscapes of Porsanger, our guide will take you on an unforgettable journey through our beautiful mountains, with a night under the Norwegian sky. The trip is also adapted to families, and kids used to hiking are welcome to join. It is also possible to bring one of our huskies. We adapt the tour to the group, weather and conditions. It's also possible to combine the tour with a visit to our Husky kennel, and if the conditions are right, might try dogsledding on wheels.

Itinerary

After we pick you up at Lakselv Airport, your adventure begins with check-in at your accommodation. We then visit our dog kennel and prepare the equipment for the trip. You will spend the night in our historic lodge in Børselv.

After a restful night, we set off to explore the surrounding Arctic nature. Your guide will share insights about the local flora, fauna, and the unique landscapes of the area. Depending on conditions, we may bring one or two dogs along for the expedition.
At the end of the day, we set up camp and enjoy a dinner made with local ingredients before spending the night in a tent in the heart of the Arctic wilderness.
The following morning, we hike back to Børselv, where you will spend an additional night in our lodge. This evening includes a shared dinner with your guide before departure the next day.

After breakfast, we may return to the kennel for a final goodbye to the dogs if you wish. You will then be transferred back to Lakselv Airport for your departure.

This provider places special emphasis on maintaining a balanced age structure within the pack. This ensures that all dogs entering retirement can spend the rest of their life on the farm and remain part of the community until the very end. The small group size allows for individual care. In addition, all male dogs are neutered to prevent unplanned litters. Also noteworthy are the two scheduled rest days each week, giving the dogs time to recover and recuperate.

This trip is also suitable for families, and children who are accustomed to hiking are welcome to join. We adapt the tour to the group, the weather, and the trail conditions. Participants should be comfortable walking outdoors and be in good physical health.
