PRIVATE “DRIVE A SLED” RIDE NEAR KIRUNA

A hands-on tour: drive a sled and help with the dogs.

Two people per sled: 1 driver/1 passenger.

After getting dressed for the weather, I will explain how to operate the sled, and together, we will prepare the dog teams. 

We will embark on a one-hour journey through scenic forest trails and open frozen areas. A brief stop will be made during this initial segment to switch drivers.

Later, we will take a lunch break in a cozy hut located on a frozen lake. This will be the perfect opportunity to cuddle with the dogs and capture some wonderful photos.

For lunch, we will grill pork sausages over an open fire, accompanied by a local flatbread. If you are vegetarians or have food allergies, please inform us at the time of booking.

After lunch, we will return to the kennel, with a drive of 40 minutes to an hour, depending on the weather conditions.

Stephanie is French, but has lived in Sweden for almost 20 years. She started her own dogsledding company in 2011, always prioritizing the well-being of her dogs, who are part of her family. She is passionate about her dogs and shares her passion with her guests.

This provider ensures that all dogs are covered by health insurance and tailors work schedules to each dog's age and individual needs. Younger dogs join the guide team once they are yearlings, allowing them to develop at an appropriate pace.

There were only two of us on the outing, which made the moment even more special. You immediately feel Stéphanie's passion and kindness towards her dogs, and that makes all the difference.

    The dogsled ride was magical from beginning to end. We were able to drive our own team, enjoy splendid scenery, and then share a convivial moment around a campfire where we grilled sausages.   • The whole family loved it! It was fabulous, an unforgettable experience!

    It was truly wonderful and personalized. My parents were able to relax and let me drive, and my sister and I even drove a sled ourselves. Despite the exceptional weather at the beginning of January, Stéphanie did everything possible to make this unforgettable experience a reality. She adapted perfectly to the elements while protecting her dogs and ensuring our comfort and safety. Everything went very smoothly. We loved being able to take the time to cuddle the dogs, enjoy the scenery, and the break in the cabin was very pleasant. This connection with nature was exactly what we were looking for.

    Stéphanie is very professional and attentive to her animals, and her dogs clearly appreciate her. They are adorable and love to run! She is very friendly and attentive, answering all our (many) questions. She demonstrates great professionalism as well as warmth and kindness. She shared with us her joy in her passion and in the culture of the region.

    We highly recommend it, and we hope to have the opportunity to return someday! We all agree that it was an amazing experience! :)
