Itinerary
-
After picking you up at the airport, we will drive to your accommodation. Later, you will meet the huskies, have an introduction to dog sledding, and head out on a short sledding tour. The day ends with an overnight stay and dinner at the lodge in Børselv.
-
Spend a full day on the sled, travelling through forest, open plateaus, and coastal terrain depending on snow and weather conditions. Along the route, we stop for an outdoor lunch. Upon arrival at camp, you will first take care of your dog team before relaxing in the tent.
The day ends with an overnight stay in a traditional gamme tent, where the group shares the evening meal and prepares for the following day’s journey.
-
After breakfast and morning dog care, we continue by sled on routes chosen according to current conditions. Guests take part in harnessing the dogs, preparing the sleds, and looking after the teams before departure. The expedition returns to the kennel in the afternoon, where the dogs are fed and settled after the journey.
-
Before the transfer to the airport, we make a final stop at the kennel to spend some time with the dogs, take photographs, and say goodbye to the teams that travelled with us during the expedition. Afterward, we continue to the airport for your departure.
This provider implements additional measures and goes beyond both our minimum requirements and the applicable national regulations.
To highlight and promote this commitment, we use a simple recognition system on our platform. Partners who exceed our requirements in at least three areas are identified by this symbol. You can find more information here.
This provider places special emphasis on maintaining a balanced age structure within the pack. This ensures that all dogs entering retirement can spend the rest of their life on the farm and remain part of the community until the very end. The small group size allows for individual care. In addition, all male dogs are neutered to prevent unplanned litters. Also noteworthy are the two scheduled rest days each week, giving the dogs time to recover and recuperate.
